Papa, Let's Talk About That Home
Amusing story here about a misguided Sicilian who told his five year-old grandson that money isn't important. The grandson took a thousand buck note (Italian bucks, which means it's equal to about 23 cents, I think) from his father's wallet, shredded it, and threw it out the window.
Keep that commie talk to yourself, Nonno.

Actually, Ananova.com gave the amount in pound notes, so I suppose that they meant the equivalent amount in lire -- which is quite a bit of money. I don't know what the exhchange rate between British punds and US dollars is these days, but that could mean the kid shredded anywhere from $1500 to $2000.

Oops. I thought that little squiggly L thingy was a Brit's way of indicating a lira. This changes everything. Grandpa deserves a real punishment, like having to babysit the little fledgling Trotskyite for a weekend.
