November 23, 2007

I hope you all had a thanks-filled Thanksgiving. If you're interested, I have some thoughts on Bonhoeffer's letters from prison, as well as rules of civility, over at WORLD on the Web.

Tony, I am more familiar with Bonhoeffer's "Cost of Discipleship" It spurred me to buy a copy of "Letters from Prison", which is still on the shelf. Looks like I need to read it.
As they frequently do, your comments are a crucifix, as they draw me to God (vertical relationship) and identify me with my fellow man (horizontal relationship). Thanks.

While not strictly on topic, I just wanted to say that finding an article by you in our hard-copy of World is like ... is like ... is just really really good. Sometimes I flip straight to the back pages. Sometimes I torture myself by reading the whole magazine first in order thinking "hmmmmm? maybe?". Either way, you make getting the hard-copy in the mail SO much more exciting!

Carl,
I'm glad I can make you uncomfortable in such a useful way.

Lucy,
You're very kind to say so. I keep forgetting to announce here when I'm in the print edition, so I'm happy you enjoy the suspense.
