Lego My Viggo

Those of you who read my previous post on Viggo Mortensen, star of Lord of the Rings, can appreciate my sadness over discovering that my page is nowhere to be found in a Google search of "Viggo Mortensen."

You can also understand my elation upon discovering that a Google search of the term Viggo Mortensen, idiot has Sand in the Gears at the top. Is this because I'm the only one to say it, or is this because I've said it most interestingly?

A poser for Sand in the Gears fans, here on the last day of 2002.

Not that a potential war in Iraq may be for Oil [it isn't - funny how two countries France (Elf Aquitaine) and Russia (Lukoil) seem most opposed to a war in Iraq - maybe because their oil deals will be put on hold or delayed costing them money in the event of war - does anyone think we would not recognize/honor their deals so as not to jeopardize our relations with these countries?].

I wonder how much Oil was used/wasted to film The Lord of The Rings trilogy? This movie series is making Viggo a very rich man. After all, the movie is simply: unnecessary consumption. I wonder if Viggo drives a Honda Insight?

Is it possible that any good came out of the U.S. action in Afghansitan? I would have liked to see Charlie ask Viggo that question.

Posted by: Mcwop on December 31, 2002 02:16 PM

Mcwop, I can do that interview for you:

Rose: "Did anything good come from the Afghanistan invasion."

Vig: "Well, we didn't have to kill all those innocent people."

Rose: "But wasn't the Taliban much worse, and didn't they kill many, many innocent people and literally imprison women and religious minorities?"

Vig: "Well, we killed alot of innocent people. We killed lots of innocent people. We didn't have to kill all those innocent people. Innocent people kill we did, hmmm. Killed. People. Innocent. They died, innocently, as people, when we killed them. Killed them! With a capital 'K' killed them, all while they were innocently doing innocent things like being innocent. And we just killed 'em."

Rose: "can you admit that the Taliban and Osama were not nice people."

Vig: "All I know is that when the USA kills someone, even an Osama or a Mullah Omar, they are in a complete state of innocence when they die. Did you know that the alleged hijackers on 9-11-01 were innocent when they died? Do you know why? Because we killed them, when we stupidly and unilaterally put those buildings there in front of 'em. I mean, these guys were just out for a joyride, an innocent jaunt! Innocent, I tell ya! Then we up and kill them with our towers. By the way, got a movie out called 'The Two Towers.' You should see it."

Alright, I won't say anything trite like; what can you expect from a guy named 'Viggo'? Not me.

When you see something like ol' Viggo's t-shirt or hear what Babs or Martin Sheen or Jessica Lange have to say, always remember the immortal words of Truman Capote:

"Actors are the stupidest people in the world."

Posted by: Robert on December 31, 2002 03:59 PM

Rob - nice job - very funny. I also just discovered that Viggo went to my small Alma Mater - St. Lawrence University.

Does the Google engine also search comment areas? I'm going to assume so:

ignorant yankees! you really don't understand shit, please try to THINK a little bit more, ever heard the word: REFLECTION!

Posted by: aragorn on January 1, 2003 12:56 AM

After considerable reflection, I have stopped watching new movies because of idiots like this guy. Hollywood, with rare exceptions, is a shameful blight on our culture. Even Fox News interrupted a report from Afghanistan to show the sentencing of that full-of-herself kleptomaniac. Disgusting.

Posted by: Dee on January 1, 2003 08:03 AM

I had the same thought, Cis.

I've explained how to do it here.

Posted by: Spoons on January 1, 2003 04:36 PM

Who in the HELL are you calling a yankee, you non-email posting chicken turd?!

Posted by: hbchrist on January 1, 2003 10:46 PM

"Reflection" -- yeah, that's what shows in a mirror. There's also "Reflections," an old song by the Supremes. So yes, I've heard of it.

Did you have some sort of point?

Posted by: Andrea Harris on January 2, 2003 01:52 AM

I thought the "Aragorn" post was just a clever parody. But then I'm often guilty of assuming that about people who are entirely sincere.

Posted by: Tony on January 2, 2003 08:48 AM

All of you that are abusing Viggo's freedom of speech are ignorant and inconsiderate. Eventhough I agree with him, I'm still not trying to force these beliefs on to all of you. All I'm saying is, I know it's hard but, ACT MATURE and respect his and my ideas.

Posted by: Jen on January 6, 2003 10:22 PM

Dear Jen,
If criticism = "abusing free speech," then isn't your criticism of other people here an abuse of free speech as well? In fact, the only way to avoid "abuse of free speech," as you define it, is to have no speech at all. Does the term Orwellian mean anything to you?

Posted by: Tony on January 7, 2003 08:04 AM

I'm thrilled that Woodlief's trashy comments were erased. I hope you guys enjoy seeing people killed in Iraq. By the way, why aren't you out there?

Posted by: on March 24, 2003 06:10 PM

Tony is a little boy who will never grow up!

Posted by: on March 24, 2003 06:12 PM

I don't know why I visit this sight. Maybe I like being pissed off. Or maybe I like thinking about how stupid some of you are. Strange. Must have something to do with the fact that I'm considerably younger than anyone on this page but still I'm one of the more mature. Probably going to get a load of crap from that comment.

Posted by: on March 26, 2003 06:10 PM

This subject is officially worn out! I'm going to suggest a change. Anyone heard about that stupid lawsuit with McDonalds? The two fat girls are blaming them for being fat.
